Article in the Orange Magazine, Page 40:

Some are doctors, teachers or preachers we are agriculturists. In the summer of 2016 Tom and Evan  attended a mission trip to Honduras with our church to World Wide Heart to Heart Children's Village.  This trip has opened up an opportunity to share our gifts and knowledge in agriculture. While he was there not only did the kids steal his heart but he saw that they could use a garden to feed all the 100 plus children.  They had the land but needed directions on how to do a garden.  After speaking with Amy and Oscar, the directors of the children's village, we were able to come up with a plan.  Starting small and simple, in July of 2017 Tom, Evan and Megan went back to the village and implemented the plans and materials for a garden.  We hope for this to be an ongoing relationship with the children and the village, to harvest much and set them up to be sustainable. We have alot to learn working in such tropical weather but as you can see we had great success with cucumbers and melon. Once again Tom returned in January 2018 and made some changes to accommodate the rainy season.  Tom remains in touch with one of the teenagers that shows great interest in the garden and uses his own ingenuity to make improvements. We look forward to the updates and will share them with everyone as they come in.
